Goal

A little girl in class. She is 12 and in 6th grade, but a lot of her classmates are 17 or 18.

Project Description:

This project will attempt to achieve the general goals of 1) recruiting capable students, and 2) to help their education and facilitate their growth into future leaders.

These goals will be achieved through multiple processes. First, I will go to a school in Cambodia, and then familiarize myself with the local situation. Then, I will go around classes that fit Culver’s desired age ranges and advertise Culver Summer Schools to them. After that, I will set up interviews with all of the interested students, and then grade their English ability. After that first round of Reviews, Mr. Giraldi will arrive in Cambodia to further interview the selected students and select the final three students to send to the Summer Schools. Then, throughout the year, working with parents and teachers, Mr. Giraldi and I will guide them or help them through the application process and their travel plans. Finally, the kids will arrive in Culver on June 20, 2019 to attend Summer Schools.
